My "little ones"

If any of you know my two kids you know they fight all the time!! They remind me so much of Jason and I growing up. MaKia use to be so cute with Kaden, (like me with Jason) she would read to him, play with him and take care of him. Now (again like me and Jason) she loves to pester him and make him cry or "freak" out on her. This weekend I had just my two kids and they got along GREAT!! There wasn't any fighting, no crying, no name calling and no fit throwing. It was AWESOME!! I came up stairs last night and this is what I see:



They were both laying on the couch watching a movie together. They look so CUTE!!! It almost made me cry because it reminded me of when Kaden was little and MaKia would lay by him all the time either reading to him or just hanging out. So maybe... there is hope for them to be good friends. Jason and I made it through our childhood "wars" and we are close now. I couldn't live without my little brother and I hope MaKia and Kaden have that same relationship when they grow up.

Little People

MaKia needed a picture of her and I and of course she informed me of this at the last minute... :) So I get home from work (I am having hair issues) so I put on my Utah hat and had Kia put on her BYU hat and we went outside...

Then Kenna said she needed one also. She came out all dressed up.... So this one isn't very "coordinated" but I think they turned out really cute!!

So I am sure I am in for a surprise with my present since they needed the pictures for school. Last year I received very cute puzzle frames with our pictures inside them. I can't wait to see my gift this year!!

Camping

Our first camping trip of the year was GREAT!!! We went to San Rafael Desert with my mom's family. There was a representative from each family, we missed those that couldn't make it but had a blast with those that could.

It was a little chilly on Friday, windy but warmer on Saturday and beautiful on Sunday, figures.




The kids had a blast riding the 4-wheelers and the go-cart and of course hiking in the rocks.




We were able to go to the Wedge or the Mini-Grand Canyon. It is so beautiful!! We also took Mersadez to see the Indian writing (the other three went on a long 4-wheeler ride to see them).




The kids had a blast playing with their cousins. We had a GREAT time and can't wait to go again!! :)

Easter 2009

Well I guess it is about time I post my Easter pictures. We are going to the desert this weekend so I am sure I will have more later.

Kaden celebrated Easter early since he spent the weekend with his dad. So we hid the eggs just for him and he spent about 20 minutes trying to find like 8 eggs. I guess that what happens when you have sisters hide them huh...

I didn't get a picture of Kaden in his Easter outfit but you can see the shirt and shorts in this picture.

I was going to buy all three girls Easter dresses this year but MaKia is "anti" dresses so she got a summer outfit. Mersadez loves her dress and McKenna also picked out a dress. So two out of three ain't bad right...



The Easter bunny didn't hide eggs at my house but the girls were still able to find eggs at my brother's house with Jessica's two girls Sydney and Dylan. I don't know if Jason or the girls had more fun with the hiding and finding of the eggs... :)




Mersadez hid the eggs for the girls and then entertained herself with the dinosaur wrapping while the kids found the eggs.

Friday Update

Well I made it through another week of my boot camp!! YAY me!! My favorites have to be the legs and Kempo. The Yoga is sooo hard I haven't been able to make it through the whole 93 minutes yet. I can actually do sit ups again!! It is great I haven't been able to do sit ups since I had my kids!! :)

On the down side, this week MaKia was diagnosed with Scoliosis (curving of the spine). We took her in today to get her X-ray's done and her spine almost forms a perfect c. It is so out of whack!! I am beginning to wonder if I should have been allowed to have children :(. My genes SUCK!!! First we found out MaKia was blind in one eye from lazy eye then Kaden had Pyloric Stenosis when he was a month old and lung problems and now this for MaKia. Kids need to seriously come with a handbook.

Mills Girls

My Uncle Clark and Aunt Sharon had three kids, 2 boys and 1 girl. Sharon and her daughter Elyse both were born in April. Then, proving even more they were meant for each other, to keep the tradition so to speak, when the two boys were married they both married someone with a b-day in April. So all the girls (minus the grandbabies) celebrate their B-day in April. I love stories like this (if you remember my "true love" post in January). It just proves that somethings are meant to be and even a skeptic like me has to see the beauty in it.

Happy B-day I love you guys!!

Happy B-day Jason

Today my little brother is turning 26!! I guess I shouldn't be calling him my baby brother anymore huh... He is my only brother and even though we both tried to "kill" each other while we were growing up we have a pretty close relationship now. He is someone I know will always be there for me. He is always just a phone call away. Jason is a GREAT brother and an AWESOME uncle to his nieces and nephew. He is the sweetest guy and will do anything for anyone. This is also one of his faults because sometimes he tries to hard and it ends up biting him in the butt.




This last photo was taken last August in Yellowstone. It was a GREAT time to have my brother come down for the weekend with us. It is a very rare that him and I get to spend more then a few hours together. I took him out last night for his B-day to see Fast and the Furious (3). He is a great sport to put up with me. My life is better having him in it and I love him very much.

Happy B-day Jason.. We Love You... (I doubt he will ever read this but oh well).

3-days In

Oh Boy!! This first few weeks is going to KILL us!! I love the workouts and the variety. We do something different everyday and there are so many different moves with each workout. It is GREAT!!! We worked on Chest and back on Monday so many push ups and pull ups!! My chest is still really sore! Then on Tuesday we did legs and that wasn't to bad for me because that is one part of my body that is in pretty good shape. However, Scott is feeling it his legs are like jello :). Then this morning we did arms, shoulders and abs. I am still really sore from Monday so it was a light workout for me. I used only 2lb weights... (sad huh...). Tomorrow is Yoga and I am soooo excited for that, Friday is back to weights and upper body then Saturday we get to do Kempo!! YAY!! Then finally a day of rest on Sunday (you can stretch that day and that is what I will do a good stretch sounds really nice right now). So today I am sore but I know it will be worth it. The rewards will be AWESOME!! LOL!
