Malaki

lol how cute

So I am missing our dog Malaki. We had to give her up because of our living situation out here and I know it was for the better but I still miss her like crazy. She is such a good dog and the only comfort I get is that I know she is being taken care of by the Green family. So this is just a little tribute to Malaki she is and will always be a part of our family and we miss her.

Our Tat's

Well I didn't go w/my wrist I did my shoulders. My Mom and I decided that my tattoos wouldn't be seen on my back so it would be a waste of money and I only had enough money to get the ones I really wanted and that is my kids names. So here are my new tat's

Scott' Tattoo's for his dad. The Cancer Ribbon is the a new one and Linda is a long time family friend that just beat Lukemia which is what his father passes away from in 2005.

Reflecting

Laura had a blog post a while back kinda like this and I have to agree w/her. There are those times when the kids are trying to kill each other, telling you they hate you and you are a horrible parent and you feel like everything you do is wrong. You look at those adorable baby pictures and you wonder "What the Hell Happened?" Well I am having one of those weeks. Kenna and Kaden tried to beat each other to death the other day and then Kenna's dad finally told her "no" so she threw a fit like a "terrible two" year old would and told her dad off with her very pleasant mouth. Kia is soooooo emotional that one little thing goes wrong and the water works start and well do I need to say anything about a 15-year old. You are wondering if it is all worth it and if you are cut out for this parent thing. Then there are those times when you hear "I Love You Mommy" "Good Morning" in there cute little groggy voices or even "Good Night Mom" and then their laughter that can brighten even the brightest sun set and their innocent faces w/their 10,000 questions and watching their eyes light up when they learn something new. Or when you are having a conversation about their day and they come up with something totally out of the blue or say a "HUGE" word, that you can barley spell, in the right context and you can't help but laugh at their intelligence. Life has thrown so many curve balls at me and I honestly don't think god should have given me the opportunity to be a parent especially w/out a hand book; but those precious little moments do happen and they make up for all the trying times we go through as parents. They remind me that this is worth it and I must be doing an ok job because they are still breathing. I just hope I can say that in a few years when they are grown up and I don't get to tuck them into bed anymore or read them a bed time story. I hope I can look in the mirror and say "You did a pretty good job as a parent". But until then I feel I will have several more "Had a Bad Day" moments and wonder if I am doing the right thing....

Work

Ok so I don't work in a mine but you get the idea... I transfered to Draper, I am still w/the same department just closer to home. However, it is still learning a new job all over again, yes I know I should be use to it by now. LOL! Anyway, it has been weird, to say the least, the first day the girl training me didn't come in until almost 11 (I get to work at 7) and then she didn't start giving me anything to do until afternoon and then she took an hour lunch. So my first day was very very frustrating! (oh she did find somethings for me to do right at 5:30 though...) Then today was my second day and her child was sick so I was alone... Needless to say, I haven't really learned anything in the two days I have been there. She told me, kinda, what I am in charge of so I have tried to make due and figure it out by emailing people and looking at the files that have already been set up. I did manage to keep myself busy all day today so that was a plus.. So enough venting, she is a very nice person and I am sure I will enjoy working w/her once I get trained. I am still optimistic that I will enjoy the job, it is just not fast paced, at all, and I will have to learn to work slower I guess... Other then that the drive is "AWESOME" no traffic at all!!! So that makes it bearable and hopefully as the weeks progress and I get a better feel for things it will get better... (fingers crossed)

Lagoon

Well we went to Lagoon yesterday with the Menloves and my Dad. It was a lot of fun but once a year is plenty for me. (sign of my old age right.. LOL!) We love the new ride Wicked. Scott, MaKia, Mersadez, Nathan, Shannon and I went on it 4-5 times (well I only went 3 times) and Kaden even went on it; twice! They have a booster seat for "little" people so he was secure enough that he didn't fall out. He also went on the Sky Coaster! My Aunt said I was CRAZY to let my baby ride it but he wanted too. He was very scared he clung to my dad the whole time and cried going up; however, he wants to go again. He said he had fun and wasn't scared, but I beg to differ. We couldn't get McKenna on any of the big rides except Spider and the White Roller Coaster. She refused to go on Wicked. We went on the Cliff Hanger and I got SOAKED!! Shannon, Mersadez and MaKia went on it twice and they didn't get as wet as I did. I didn't find that very funny but they thought it was. We also did Rattlesnake Rapids and the log ride; so needless to say my gym shoes are still dripping with water. I don't think they will ever dry. It was nice to spend the day with Teresa and her family. Teresa doesn't ride the rides so she played with Mitchell and Kaden most of the time.

Happy B-day

Well tomorrow is my 30th B-day.. AAHHH!!! I am sooo OLD! This isn't Happy B-day to me though I am trying not to celebrate this year. This is Happy B-day to the best Uncle in the World, and my "Twin". My Uncle Clark is AWESOME! He is always there when you need him, he has been a great brother to my mom and he reminds me, in many ways, of my Grandma (who I miss so much). He doesn't judge people and he loves you no matter what. Sure he disagrees w/me and my family but that has never stopped him from being there for us when we need him. He gives advice and tells you he doesn't like what you are doing; but you know he still loves you. He has had some medical issues but he is still hanging in there and I for one have never heard him get too down about it. He just pushes through and goes on. I love you "Jark" and I hope you have a Very Happy Birthday; especially since it is all yours this year. LOL!

All I Want for Christmas...

Well Kaden lost his two front teeth. He said the one was loose so he went in the bathroom and came out to show me and then not even 20 min later he had pulled the other one out. So now he is going around singing "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth" LOL!

The End

Well Monday came way to fast and we had to head back home into the "real" world. We had a GREAT time and look forward to going again. I had to share these last few pics because we are so cute... LOL!. The one of Mersadez falling off the rock is a classic pic! I love it I am just glad it was forward and not back.

Sunday

My brother came up Saturday night and on Sunday he wanted to check out the falls. We went to the lower falls and then to Tower Falls.

You use to be able to hike down into the falls but the trail was washed out so we just played in the water.

It was fun to spend a few days with my brother. I don't get to see him very much any more.

Yellowstone

We went to see the hot pots and Old Faithful on Saturday. We missed Old Faithful going off; it went off a little bit and then stopped and we thought it was finished but we were wrong. The kids hated the smell of the hot pots but we all got our exercise for the day so that was good... LOL!.

Happy B-day MaKia

So I have to take a break in our Yellowstone story to say Happy B-day to my daughter. She turns 12 today!!! OMG! I am getting so old I will have a teenager next year! Anyway, she is in 6th grade as you all know and has had many challenges with school and in her personal life. MaKia is a GREAT kid, and no I am not just saying that because she is mine, it is so true. She helps out around the house she is so good to help her Grandma and loves to watch Asa and Coen. She does grumble alot, but she has the cleanest room in the house and I can get her to do almost anything for me. She is a good sister, even though she loves to drive Kaden crazy. She is very friendly and caring; sometimes to much. She has a big heart and is a joy to have around. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIA!!

Bear World

Bear World was so fun even though, in my book, it was more money then it was worth. We went on the tour and were able to feed the big bears. There was one the clapped his hands for food. He was soo cute I wanted to bring him home with me. We also went to the petting zoo and the kids were able to pet a deer, pig and goats. Kaden really like the black goat so I had to take his picture with it. The black goat figured out that when people put money in the "candy" machine his food comes out so everytime we put in a quarter he stuck his tongue inside the dispenser and took all the food before we could get any out. It was so cute though we keep doing it LOL!.

Idaho Falls

Over the weekend we went to Yellowstone with Scott's cousins. There was 31 of us to begin with and then my brother joined us with his girlfriend so we had 35 at one point. My kids and I have never been to Yellowstone so we had a great time. I want to go again next year. There is so much to see!

So the first stop on our journey was Idaho Falls. We arrived on Thursday. On Friday we went out to breakfast (all 31 of us) and then we went to feed the ducks!! It was "GREAT" fun. We also took some family pics by the water fall. It was Beautiful in the area we stayed; thanks to The Nance family for the invite!!
