10 Things I am thankful for

Well it's almost Thanksgiving so I better do my thankful post for this year. I have a lot to be thankful for even if at times it's hard to see the good I know it's there.

1. Thankful for Organ Donors
2. Thankful for my Kids - all 4 of them including the new grandbaby
3. Thankful for my husband - no idea how he puts up with me but he does and I love him for it
4. Thankful for my mom - she helps me more then she can ever know and my life would seriously suck without her.
5. Thankful for my family - all my Aunts, Uncles, cousins, everyone
6. Thankful for my Grandfather - he has always been there for me and I know I can count on him
7. Thankful for my baby brother
8. Thankful for my job I know good jobs are limited right now and I am one of the lucky ones to have a good job. Also thankful for my medical insurance with our current health issues not having insurance would be very difficult.
9. Thankful for a roof over my head and food in my fridge and a warm bed to sleep in at night
10. Thankful to be living in the greatest country around and for all that it offers.

This is a very short list and there is so much more I can be thankful for but this is my top 10 this year.

Enjoy your holiday and I hope you will get to spend time with family and friends. Enjoy each others company life is very short.

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!

November Update

I have decided I am "bump on the log" this year. Usually during October I am so excited to gross my kids out with dinner and do fun "Halloween" things. But not this year. I didn't even really decorate my house....We had a big work party and I was in charge of my suite decorating and it was a headache to say the least. But the actual party turned out awesome and we had a lot of people attend. So it was all worth it but it took away from my families Halloween moments :(. I did make them bloody mummies and maggots for Halloween but of course their lives are to busy for mom so not everyone ate it.

I have also decided raising teenage girls is the hardest job in the world. I really don't know how people survive this whole kid raising thing. It is enough to totally put someone in a loony bin. No wonder I am going gray and looking like I am about 50 years old. I am glad I got into exercising because otherwise I would not have an outlet for all the stress I am under and I think I would be locked up somewhere.

We took a sporadic trip to Denver over the kids UEA. The girls didn't want to join us so it was just Scott, me and Kaden. We went to see the Denver Broncos play the Jags. Kaden wore his Jaguar shirt in the sea of Orange. Of course Denver won. Our hotel stay SUCKED but I got 50% back on the hotel bill so it worked out nicely :) Kaden of course had a great time.

Kaden made it to the playoffs in football but lost the first play off game. He also got Mono and wasn't able to play the last couple games so he was bummed.

Other than that my life is crazy but pretty boring. I am still adjusting to having a baby in my house, and then teenage girls drive me NUTS and trying to keep up with Kaden and Scott I am worn out...Are you sure I am not 50 years old?? However, life is great and I am enjoying the time I have left with the kids because I know I will blink and they will be all grown up (after all Kia is 18 next year!!)

I can't believe Holiday's are just around the corner and I still don't get to run away for Christmas. I am determined to get my way one year and just leave but it won't be this year...
