Quote to sum up June:
June isn't a great month....Last year just added to that statement....I started out the month going to the doc (for my thyroid) for my check up and my blood work (my TSH) was WAY WAY high!!! He thinks he dropped my medication to low so he CHANGED it again. I still don't feel better so I am VERY frustrated it's been 6 months!!!! I know things could be worse but it is so frustrating to me.....
Makia took Driver's Ed this month and passed now she just has to do road and wait for her B-day :)
We remembered Pa (my step-father Frank) and Scott's dad (both passed away on June 7).
We celebrated one of my least favorite holidays Father's Day. My dad is living in North Dakota, my step father passed away last year and Scott's dad passed away in 2005. So pretty much the only person I celebrate this day for is my Grandfather Mac. We, me, my family and my mom, took him out to Red Lobster for an early father's day dinner. It was nice that I got to see him and spend some time with him just a week after our journey from Kansas. He has to be one of the most special in my life and I don't know what I would ever do without him. He is a GREAT man and I am VERY blessed to be able to call him Grandpa.
Kenna had her first dance recital with Jazz n Place. They performed to the Wizard of Oz theme (right after our Kansas trip Ironic?).
We were able to go to a BBQ at my cousins house (even Jason!!) I love hanging out with family and Terrance is an AWSOME cook. Jason bought the kids Checker Flag shirts and they all wore them to the BBQ so I had to get my picture :) I hope we are able to do more BBQ's, my cousins live so close but I heardly every see them. It's hard to find time with everyone's busy schedules...
Scott and I were able to attend two concerts in June. My cousin Elyse gave us free tickets to see Scorpions and then after that concert Scott and I bought tickets for us and the kids to see Posion and Def Leppard. The Menloves went to this concert so it was fun to visit with them for a bit. Scott's cousins joined us for both and we always have a great time with them.
We celebrated Mersadez 19th Birthday with cake and dinner at Texas Roadhouse.
We attended quite a bit of the Lehi Round Up activities including the "famous" rodeo!!
We were also able to go to 7-peaks with our passes. I was afraid with them being closed on Sunday we wouldn't make it but Scott and I were able to take a day off work and go. It was fun (even though we only had the 2 babies) We are hoping to go again with all the kids.
I guess June was pretty good this year. We did a lot as a family and enjoyed each other's company. What more can you ask for?
