February

Posted by Picasa
Well since February is the month of "Love" I will try and be upbeat in my posts all month.. I really don't like February, because it is usually the worst month w/snow and it has Valentines Day in it. (my least favorite holiday). However, it is the month Scott proposed to me so I have to like it now right... Since it is the month of love and the month Scott proposed I am sharing some pics of him and I for my first post of the month. The top one is on a boat in Nashville TN.

This one is also in Nashville right outside the Wildhorse salon 2004 (on our honeymoon/one year anniversary)

This is the wedding in Vegas 2003. (no white dress for me it was my 3rd time... LOL)

This Halloween 2007

This one is in Idaho Falls in 2008

I use to have some more but since we have moved so many time I can't find half my pics. I also lost all the pictures we had from our Country Jam trips (very sad). So enjoy the few I have left.. I guess that means I just need to take more of us together right...

MaKia is suppose to go on a ski trip today and she was up all night with it. I feel so bad for her she really wants to go so she went to school but I don't know if she will make it. Kaden has been in the bathroom all morning becoming really good friends with the toilet.. LOL!! I have to find humor because I feel so bad for my kids. I had it last week but I felt better over the weekend and today it is hitting me again and Scott is off and on with it. I really hope this bug goes away very soon!!

Grandpa

Can I tell you how lucky I am to have a Grandpa like my Grandpa Mills. He has pretty much been my dad and my Grandpa since the day I was born. I am the first grandchild and I was the only girl for a long time. So I was/am very spoiled.. (that puts it mild LOL) I have been very lucky to have spent the amount of time I have with my Grandpa. I use to follow him around when I was little and copy the way he walked. So my mom had to buy me cowboy boots to straighten my feet out because I "waddled" like my Grandpa. I know my grandpa loves me as he does all his kids and grand kids but being the "spoiled" child I am I always say I am his favorite (not true but it makes me feel good LOL). Like I said my Grandpa has been not only a Grandpa to me, he is the man I have looked up to as a "father" figure. No matter what happened in my life I knew he loved me and he would be there for me. These next two pictures have to be my favorite. The second one just became my favorite because of the third picture. Isn't it funny how you can take a picture of your kids doing almost the exact same things you did.. LOL!!I love listening to Grandpa's stories about his life. He wasn't the perfect child and he has experienced life in many ways. Yes, now he is active in the church, but he also had his wild side. The reason I love this about him is because I can relate to him. I have my spiritual side but I also have my wild side.See what I mean about Wild Side!! LOL!!I love to hear about the good ol' days. He is one of the best story tellers around. Even now, after all these years, I am still learning different things about my Grandpa. He never ceases to amaze me. I could go on and on about my Grandpa I love him very much he is the one man in my life (besides Scott and my brother Jason) that I know will love me and be there for me whenever I need him. I miss him and wish I had more time to spend with him. This makes it so I cherish the time I have with him. Happy B-day Grandpa! (The first two songs remind me of my Grandpa and Grandma. Every time I hear the first one I cry.)

January B-days

I have done tributes on two of these B-day "stars" but I didn't want to leave out the others. So Happy B-day in January to my Grandma and Grandpa Huntsman, Maddie, Scott's mom and dad, Terrance, my Grandpa and Grandma Mills, my Grandma Eden (she would have been 100 this year!!) and my Uncle Garrett. I just have to point out how many life-long spouses have their b-day's so close to together in the in the same month. My Grandma and Grandpa Huntsman were together "forever" and they passed on within a year or so of each other. My Grandpa and Grandma Mills were high school sweet hearts and were still going very strong when my Grandma passed on in 1996.

Then there is Scott's parents who were also soul mates. I just think having 3 couples that were meant for each other all having their B-day's so close together in the same month is interesting... Happy January B-day's and sorry if I left anyone out.

Well as you all know the Eagles lost the NFC Championship game to Arizona. I thought Scott was doing to throw my TV out the window. He was so upset!! My cousin Terrance had to call (well text) and check up on him. He was even worried about Scott's Health during the game... LOL!! There was one point during the second half that we thought "maybe" but then no of course not... So I will be cheering on the Cardinals during the Super Bowl.. I don't know if Scott has recovered enough to decide who he will cheering for.. LOL!! It was a good season in my eyes even though my team didn't make it to the payoffs. Good Luck Arizona!!

School Update

So my Aunt informed me today I need to say how school is going... Well it is going... I was enrolled in Math, Health and History and now I am enrolled in Math, Health and Theater. I just don't get the history... I guess I need to take that class in school not online. Maybe then I will understand the content better. I love Health it is soo interesting and I am actually enjoying relearning math. I had forgotten almost everything.. LOL!! (that means I am old). I just enrolled in Theater to replace the History I dropped so I am not sure on it yet. It sounds like a lot of fun. All three classes are online classes. I hate driving in the snow so I took online classes this semester. Over the summer I will be in school for all my classes but Math and the same for fall. I am pondering getting my BS degree in Psychology instead of Community Health since I think my career outlook will be better in Psy. It is about the same amount of schooling for both (abouit 7 semsters for my BS and then 2-3 years more for my Masters so maybe by the time I am 35 or 36?? :). I have to finish my Generals and take a few pre-requisites before I can get into either program so I have one maybe two more semesters to decide. By fall I should be decided. (LOL!! Ya right I am 30-years old and still don't know what I want to be when I grow up...) So there is my update... If you care... :) If not you get to enjoy reading it anyway... LOL....

Beauty

Ok since my last blog is a total downer. I need to post something positive. So in my "Zen" state.. LOL!! I am going to post something positive. On my way home from work I see the most beautiful sunsets. I love the beauty of the mountains with the sunrise and sunset especially with the snow. This is why I tolerate driving in the snow and the cold because the beauty it brings is undescribable. These first two pictures, I called home and asked Scott to go take since by the time I make it home the sunset is usually finished. You can't see the mountains because of the angle he was taking them. But let me tell you it was beautiful looking out west towards the mountain as I came over the hill into Eagle Mountain.

These last two were taken around Halloween by my moms house. It was a beautiful October morning and I drove my kids to school. On the way back down (luckily I had my camera w/me, which never happens..) I looked out and saw this!!! Need I say more...

I only wish I knew how to make my camera take better outdoor pics so you can see the whole area (like the mountains). But these will work until I figure it out.. Which I will...

Right to Bare Arms

Ok, so let me start off saying this is going to sound worse then what it actually was because the mentioned gun was only a BB gun and it wasn't loaded. I also know many people that read my blog will disagree with me here, but I have big issues with kids playing with guns, regardless of the kind, unsupervised.

So after saying that I have to VENT!!! Don't get me wrong here I am very FOR the Right to Bare Arms. However, I am for ADULTS right not KIDS rights. If you are going to have guns in your house (BB or a real one) keep them locked up and only let them out around the kids with VERY STRONG supervision. My little brother and I have been around guns our entire life and my dad always had them locked up. (Yes we knew where the key was and even though I pissed Jason off sooo many time he never tried to shoot me LOL). My family all made sure all the kids knew what a gun was and what it could do. We were educated on gun use because we were around them.

So to get to my story, yesterday McKenna went to my mom's neighbors house to pick up my little boy and the kid that came to the door pointed a BB gun at her and pulled the trigger. THANK GOD!! it wasn't loaded. Even though it was just a BB gun, at that close range, she could have been hurt really bad. So Scott called the cops on the kid but all they did was tell him not to do it again. Now I understand no body was hurt but what if it would have been a real gun (loaded!!). Who's to say that next time it won't be!!

I know the cops are under paid and really busy and there are BIGGER crimes going on but come on!!! They could have at least cited the kid or the parents and taken the gun away!! The parents were not home, and after Scott freaked out, the cop said he would go back and talk to the parents.

I am very glad it wasn't worse because it could have been. I just hope (pray to god) that there won't be a next time for my kids or any other kid for that matter.

One More Game!!

Philidelphia VS: Arizona

A game so close yet so far away,

Scott really wanted to go to this game and is really bummed he didn't get tickets. The Eagles made it to Arizona to battle the Cardnals. I thought Scott was going to have a heart attach during the last game against the Giants... I think the entire neighborhood could hear him yelling at the TV... LOL!! It was a really good game lets hope they can keep it up. (for Scott) GO EAGLES!!

Lagoon Update Pics

Back in September I posted a blog saying my baby went on the Sky Coaster. Well my cousin just emailed me the pics. This shows you how BRAVE my baby was. He clung to my dad for dear life the whole ride but as you can see he is all smiles when he came off

...

Scott's Eagles

Well I let Scott look at my blog and he informed me that I need to put a post about his Eagle's (barely) making the playoffs. I am a little jealous since my Patriots are out but I will post his "Happy Moment" while it lasts... LOL!! Hey maybe they will surprise us and make the Superbowl... (then I will have to cheer for them...)

Maddie

Happy B-day to my adorable little cousin Maddie. We went to dinner with the Mills family to Red Lobster and this pic is of Maddie "devouring" the dip (I think it was a crab dip if I remember). She was so cute and she loved it so much she licked the plate... LOL!! She has such a cute personality and is a joy to have in our family.

These photos are from last year (Thanksgiving). She was so cute looking at the "Black Friday ads" with her Grandma and Cousin Shannon. She is such a loveable person she even let her "very strange" cousin Scott hold her (he doesn't look happy but he really is LOL). Happy B-day Maddie we love you!!

Utah Utes

What a GREAT game last night!! It was the perfect end to a perfect season!! Scott and I watched the game last night and we both cheered for the same team... LOL!! It was a lot of fun. Way to go UTES!!

In the New Year...

This year's top 10 resolutions for me and Scott, since most of this he has to do LOL, are:

1) Finish our basement so Sadez has her own room.

2) Pass all my classes!!

3) Get back into a work-out routine to help get/keep my weight off

4) Paint my Kitchen and half bath and hopefully get an idea for the rest of the house

5) Stay off Red Meat and try to loose the Pork also (can't do the Chicken, seafood and Turkey that is way to much to ask for...)

6) Enjoy time with Family and Friends

7) Blog!! LOL

8) Get the puppies house trained

9) NOT MOVE!!!

10) Try to enjoy my job and realize I am lucky to have it

Now this is my way of tagging everyone that reads my blog to post a list like this on their blog... Have a good Year...

2009

Happy New Year!! I hope everyone had a Safe New Year's Eve. We went bowling with the Gilbert and Nance/Abel family like Scott has been doing for almost 25 years!! It is a GREAT tradition and a lot of fun.

After bowling we went back to Dave and Amy's house to play games, drink and ring in the New Year!! It was a lot of fun. We look forward to starting a good 2009.
