So I have to post about something I find interesting... :)... Now I am not a religious person, I have my "issues" with not only the Mormon religion but others as well. So don't think I have "seen the light" or anything this is just a pleasant observation and appreciation. I have a very high appreciation for my state of Utah.
We had a director’s conference this past week with my work. Represent ivies from other states came to Utah. It was funny because they were afraid to come here and several didn't show up because of this fear of Utah. I have never heard of such a thing. So I found it comical... I have also heard people (from Ogden no doubt) say Utah County is scary... LOL... I am afraid of Ogden so I guess the other way may be natural but it is funny... These directors were shocked they could order a drink with their meal and had MANY misconceptions about Utah and Utahans. However, they said people were very polite, our state was beautiful and they enjoyed the tour of the temple grounds. They commented several times on how beautiful our state is and how advanced we are. So back to my appreciation of Utah, this was very nice to hear. When they first came it wasn't pleasant with their views on Utah but when they left I would have to think they had a different conception. It is just nice to live in a beautiful state and I don't know if that goes back to what our state is founded on or not but it is just nice....
Now, I still think we should try and "lock" our borders (of Utah :) I wish more people of a certain type had misconceptions or a fear of Utah and would stay away. You expect drive by shootings in Rose Park, West Valley or Ogden, but in Lehi!!! I just hope drive-bys and the SEVERE drug problem we have isn't a sign of what’s to come to my beautiful state. I love living here for the peace of mind and the beauty this state holds but if we keep letting "anyone" move in and do nothing about them I think this beautiful state will soon have a very different look and reputation.....
But for now I can live in my fantasy world that everything is GREAT and still have a high love and appreciation for Utah :)

Easter
Well Easter has to be one of my favorite times of the year. I love that Winter is coming to an end and spring is on the way. I love getting the kids spring clothes and cute little bunnies and having easter egg hunts. Even though they are getting older they still "allow" me to hide eggs for them so it is still fun. Then of course the candy!! Oh the candy!! I love Easter candy :). I did't get very good pictures of the easter baskets so they are left off this year (maybe I will take one since they are still sitting on my kitchen counter LOL). They were cute, plain baskets this year. My two girls received an Easter dress but it was a bit ago for church so those pictures are left off also... But we did all get polos, except Kaden who hates anything that isn't a t-shirt. I went to Old Navy and bought polos for everyone when they were on sale for $5. They had many cute styles and colors to choose from it was a nice trip.
Then of course around Easter I get to go to the desert with my moms family. I love this trip. Lots of dirt, food, and good times. Usually the weather isn't GREAT but this year it was so GREAT!! Almost perfect weather it was so nice. We took a ride with Grandpa to see the Flintstone houses (tore down :( and different writings on the rock (they have a name but I can never remember it I think Picturegraphs). The kids rode in the back of the pickup and had a great time wondering around.
This cave they ate most of the meals in. It was just above camp. My kids love to climb on the rocks and just run around with the cousins.
And, of course it wouldn't be complete without the dume buggy and 4-wheelers. Kaden was a little wild but all three did very well this year. No accidents YAY!!
The only "problem" we had was with our puppy Tazanna. She didn't like Snoopy or Missy at all. Any stray dog that wondered onto our camp also got "chewed out". Obvisously by next year we need to figure out how to get her to be more "friendly". So most of her time was spent in the trailer since she couldn't play nice.
It was a GREAT trip and I look forward to next year all ready :)
