Ponderings of the Confused :)

So, pondering life and the New Year....Looking at my future....How do you know what the future holds....So many mysteries so many uncertainties....Looking at many different things but one thing I am seriously pondering is getting my Masters. I know, I know I have said this multiple times in the past and have attempted it SEVERAL times and spent SOOO much money on school but seriously I feel this is something I need to do. The question...How do you know when the right time to go back is...How do you know the "perfect" degree program? How do you know you are not wasting your time and money on a non-productive or evaporating degree?? I know I should know what I want to be when I grow up since I am getting "old" but I seriously have no idea. I love my current job but I don't feel secure in it....I feel like if something does happen I will have no where to go making what I make now...Hence, the degree...BUT, what degree to get?? Jobs I look at talk about the Public Health Masters....Is that good? Or do I keep with Business and get my MBA??? How to decide...

I have a few family members and some friends that have gone to school so I hope they read this and can give me their input. I am open to suggestions. I have until August to make my mind up about going back to school because I won't enroll until fall semester so I guess I am back to researching jobs and degrees....It's all just so confusing LOL.

10 Things I am thankful for

Well it's almost Thanksgiving so I better do my thankful post for this year. I have a lot to be thankful for even if at times it's hard to see the good I know it's there.

1. Thankful for Organ Donors
2. Thankful for my Kids - all 4 of them including the new grandbaby
3. Thankful for my husband - no idea how he puts up with me but he does and I love him for it
4. Thankful for my mom - she helps me more then she can ever know and my life would seriously suck without her.
5. Thankful for my family - all my Aunts, Uncles, cousins, everyone
6. Thankful for my Grandfather - he has always been there for me and I know I can count on him
7. Thankful for my baby brother
8. Thankful for my job I know good jobs are limited right now and I am one of the lucky ones to have a good job. Also thankful for my medical insurance with our current health issues not having insurance would be very difficult.
9. Thankful for a roof over my head and food in my fridge and a warm bed to sleep in at night
10. Thankful to be living in the greatest country around and for all that it offers.

This is a very short list and there is so much more I can be thankful for but this is my top 10 this year.

Enjoy your holiday and I hope you will get to spend time with family and friends. Enjoy each others company life is very short.

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!

November Update

I have decided I am "bump on the log" this year. Usually during October I am so excited to gross my kids out with dinner and do fun "Halloween" things. But not this year. I didn't even really decorate my house....We had a big work party and I was in charge of my suite decorating and it was a headache to say the least. But the actual party turned out awesome and we had a lot of people attend. So it was all worth it but it took away from my families Halloween moments :(. I did make them bloody mummies and maggots for Halloween but of course their lives are to busy for mom so not everyone ate it.

I have also decided raising teenage girls is the hardest job in the world. I really don't know how people survive this whole kid raising thing. It is enough to totally put someone in a loony bin. No wonder I am going gray and looking like I am about 50 years old. I am glad I got into exercising because otherwise I would not have an outlet for all the stress I am under and I think I would be locked up somewhere.

We took a sporadic trip to Denver over the kids UEA. The girls didn't want to join us so it was just Scott, me and Kaden. We went to see the Denver Broncos play the Jags. Kaden wore his Jaguar shirt in the sea of Orange. Of course Denver won. Our hotel stay SUCKED but I got 50% back on the hotel bill so it worked out nicely :) Kaden of course had a great time.

Kaden made it to the playoffs in football but lost the first play off game. He also got Mono and wasn't able to play the last couple games so he was bummed.

Other than that my life is crazy but pretty boring. I am still adjusting to having a baby in my house, and then teenage girls drive me NUTS and trying to keep up with Kaden and Scott I am worn out...Are you sure I am not 50 years old?? However, life is great and I am enjoying the time I have left with the kids because I know I will blink and they will be all grown up (after all Kia is 18 next year!!)

I can't believe Holiday's are just around the corner and I still don't get to run away for Christmas. I am determined to get my way one year and just leave but it won't be this year...

Update on Life

I would like to say life has settled down since we finally got into the new house but I would be lying.  Here is a quick update on our life :) (Scott and I have nothing new so it's a kid update LOL)

Mersadez: We found out Sadez is having a little girl. (the bottom pic is us waiting for the ultrasound)
She is naming her Aliya she is due September 4 so it's getting close. She is having contractions so any day :) She has had three baby showers already and will have 1 after the baby comes with her mom's family. Needless to say she is stocked up for the baby for a bit :)

MaKia: Kia started 11th grade and her Uncle helped buy her a new car since the Caddie is pretty old and is having a few issues that she didn't want to deal with. Now she drives a maroon Nissan Sentra. She started off the year as a blonde. I think she looks way cute with the blonde hair.

McKenna: Kenna also started 11th grade but just before school she got her license. I now have three girls driving!!! My driveway looks like a used car lot LOL. Kenna's dad bought her a way cute Suzuki Ventra (white) she really loves it. Kenna started out the school year as a red head. She wanted a more red but I was able to keep her mild :)

Kaden: Kaden is playing football again this year and has the same coach as last year. Which is good considering he wasn't able to attend anything but the first hour and a half of try-outs due to him injuring his shoulder. He missed the first week of practice but the Doctor released him and he was able to play without any limitations. They won their first game against another Lehi team. They play a really hard team this weekend (AF) wish him luck. Kaden also started Jr. High this year. He was nervous about it but seems to really enjoy it.

New House - New Routine

WOW, what a few months...We sold our house, and then lost 2 houses we put offers in on. We did end up getting the third house (which I really like) but we were homeless for almost a month. So we ended up moving in with Scott mom Carolyn. She is a saint for letting us stay with her. I don't know what we would have done without her I owe her big time. MaKia pretty much lived out of her car since she works so late in Lehi I didn't want her driving to Riverton. My cousins Terrance and Laura saved us by letting her sleep at their house. It made it so I didn't have to worry about her as much but even with that arrangement made she was still a little gypsy....I had so much help I can't even begin to express my gratitude towards everyone. Scott's cousin Lori and his boss Tom and my cousin Terrance helped us move out of the old house and put everything into our storage unit. They stuffed it full. Terrance even stored some of my stuff in his garage for safe keeping (this included Kaden's basketball hoop). Scott's sister Tricia took our older dog Misty for us, the Menloves took our bird Sitka and Mersadez, who was house sitting for a friend, took Koda. We were able to store our trailer at the storage unit and all our pictures and electronics we kept at Scott Moms house. My mom was able to store my piano for me (still need to get it out of her place :). Without so many people stepping up to help us out I really don't know what we would have done.

We finally closed on my new house but no moving in....We did sleep there though just moved the trailer over and put mattresses and blow ups down on the floor. We had to replace the carpet and paint before I could live in it happily :) So after 4 days of painting and carpet; we hired starving students to move our stuff over from the storage shed. Then little by little we brought in one box at a time. Terrance was my hero again and brought over our bikes and Kaden's hoop (we were so worn out I am so thankful he was willing to do this trip for us :). I still haven't got my piano but hope to have it this week (when you see the pictures the piano room is still in progress). I love my house and I am so glad to be moved in. This was the worst moving experience of my life so hopefully I will be able to stay put and not do this again. It was way to stressful and heartbreaking I don't think I could survive another move.

My exercise sat on the back burner. We did a few workouts at Scott's moms house then moving counts right. Now I have my own little exercise room that I can use. So Scott put up a TV on the wall and all my stuff is in the closet (I have to share this room with Kaden it's his game room and it will be our guest room if anyone ever needs a place to stay). It is also the only room we didn't paint we just left the "lovely" wall paper up and said it looks great LOL.

Here are the before and after pics. Loving my house :)
